Why Mobile

• You don’t have to be there. Absentee owners can authorize the work, send us slip/marina access details, and get photos when we’re done.
• No haul-out required. Pulling a boat for a detail costs time and money. We work it in the water.
• Works for big boats. Cruisers, big pontoons, and any boat over 24″ that’s a hassle to trailer — we come to it.
• Covered slips are easier. Mobile detailing in a covered slip with electric service is the ideal setup — protected from sun and rain while we work.
• Marina-friendly. We coordinate with marina staff, follow their rules on water and waste, and respect quiet hours.

What We Bring

• Mobile water system — either tied into marina water if available, or our own tank for slips without water
• Portable power — we can run from 110V shore power or our own generator
• Full detailing equipment — buffers, polishers, hot-water extractor for carpets, vacuums, pressure setup for hulls
• All chemicals and supplies — marine-safe products, no improvisation
• Waste containment — wash water captured where required, no oil or chemical runoff into the lake
• Insurance certificate — available before any marina work if your marina requires

Marinas and Slips We Regularly Work

We work most of the marinas on the TN side of Kentucky Lake. Private docks too — if you’ve got water and power at the dock, we’re set. For private docks without power we run our own generator; for those without water we bring our tank.

What We Can’t Do at the Dock

Some work has to happen out of water:

• Hull bottom paint — obviously below the waterline; needs haul-out
• Bottom inspection or anti-fouling — same; needs the boat out of water
• Major fiberglass structural repair — usually shop work, not dock work
• Some heavy oxidation restoration on hulls — can be done dockside on smaller boats, but bigger restorations are easier on a trailer or in a shop

Everything else — exterior, interior, ceramic coating, oxidation removal, gel coat touch-up — we can do at your slip.

How We Handle Absentee Owners

A big chunk of Kentucky Lake boats are owned by people who live elsewhere — Nashville, Memphis, Atlanta, Chicago. Our standard absentee-owner workflow:

1. You call or message us with what you want done
2. We quote it in writing
3. You authorize the work + provide slip access details (gate code, marina contact, dockmate phone)
4. We do the work
5. You get a photo set + invoice when complete
6. Pay via credit card or check — whichever you prefer

For recurring customers we set up automatic scheduling — spring opening and fall closing booked a year out, no calls needed in between.

How We Price Mobile Work

Same per-foot rates as shop work for most services, with no haul-out fee. Sometimes a small mobile service fee for very long-distance dock trips. Here’s how our quotes work.
